4/04/2016 · Guy Standing has analysed the precariat as a new emerging social class in work done for the think tank Policy Network. In 2014, he wrote another book titled “A Precariat Charter” where he argued that all citizens have a right to socially inherited wealth.
In this book Guy Standing introduces what he calls The Precariat – a growing number of people across the world living and working precariously, usually in a series of short-term jobs, without recourse to stable occupational identities or careers, stable social protection or protective regulations relevant to them. They include migrants, but also locals.
